Vegetables from local suppliers - why should you order?

Vegetables from local suppliers - why should you order?

The fashion for fast food and unhealthy food is gone forever. For several years now, the awareness of what we eat and the origin of food products has been growing. This is especially important with fresh vegetables, which are used to prepare basic meals and whose quality is crucial for the taste of the dish. On the other hand, vegetable stuffings and pickled vegetables obtained from a proven source are an indispensable addition, among others. for delicatessen dishes and dairy products. That is why it is worth betting on local suppliers of these products.

Managers of restaurants, meat or dairy plants are not always able to 100% assess which vegetables and vegetable preserves are of the highest quality, and whether they are fresh and chemical-free. In addition, in the multitude of duties, they often simply do not have time for it. Meanwhile, what a dish tastes like depends not only on the recipe or the chef's talent, but also on the so-called the supply chain, i.e. the path that food travels and in what form it is delivered. There are many challenges on this path, so it is worth trusting local vegetable suppliers who are proven on the market and whose experience is invaluable.

Quality and time are the most important
Thanks to cooperation with suppliers, you can, among others optimize the work, because in the case of fresh vegetables, they provide products that are ready for further processing, e.g. thermal. They are washed and cut, as well as prepared according to the client's needs and recommendations regarding the grammage. Another advantage is that in the case of local suppliers, vegetables are of the highest quality, because they most often import products from reliable, local gardeners, and not, for example, from imports. It is similar in the case of vegetable pastes, which are used to prepare many ready-made delicacies - e.g. croquettes and dumplings. In turn, in the dairy industry, fruit pastes are invaluable, which are used as an addition to flavored yoghurts, milk-fruit desserts and flavored cheese.
Another advantage is that vegetables and preserves are delivered to the recipient in no time. Thanks to this, they do not lose their quality. Suppliers know how to properly store and transport food products so that they retain their freshness until the end. All the required sanitary conditions are also ensured. This fits in with the idea of locavore, which assumes that the distance (calculated in so-called food kilometers) that the products must travel from the supplier to the recipient should be limited to the necessary minimum. Therefore, the closer the better. Both for fresh and processed products.
In this way, some owners of meat and dairy plants, as well as restaurateurs lose a number of obligations related to importing and preparing products. They can use the time saved to develop their company or improve its functioning. This, in turn, is in line with the convenience trend, in which saving time and work in the premises is the key.
However, the benefits are not only with the local vegetable suppliers. By deciding to cooperate with them, support is given to a specific company that operates in a nearby region, thanks to which it can develop dynamically and thus drive the national economy.

One supplier, many products
The advantage of working with local vegetable suppliers is also that they offer not only fresh vegetables or vegetable and fruit pastes. Their offer also includes pickled vegetables, which are often used both in the meat processing industry (e.g. in the form of flavored and stuffed hams) and in dairy plants, where they are used as additives to cheese (e.g. pickled peppers, mushrooms, cucumbers). or onion) and are widely used in gastronomy. Pickled vegetables are appreciated mainly because it is one of the safest ways to store food for a long time, and at the same time they do not lose their taste and quality.
